Skiers and mountain climbers, do protect your skin!
Wilma Bergfeld and Shannon C. Harrison from Cleveland Clinic Foundation have carried our a few studies on this argument and discovered that: at altitudes higher than 11.000 feet the skin begins to burn after only 6 minutes of exposition to sun rays.
The two American scientists on the pages of the Sport Health magazine point out that athletes that spend most of their time outdoors under the sun should definitely protect their epidermis with a solar protection filter covering all skin areas and, when possible, wearing sun glasses.
